INVEX: Real-Time Multi-Location Inventory

The client struggled with highly inaccurate stock data due to delayed manual processes in multiple warehouses and stores. A lack of centralization made it impossible to set effective reorder points, resulting in both frequent stockouts and excessive carrying costs. The existing system could not integrate sales data for immediate inventory impact.

The key requirement was to build a robust **Stock Management System** capable of managing four distinct user roles, enforcing granular access permissions, and ensuring every Stock Out (sale/distribution) transaction instantly and accurately deducts inventory from the correct location.

We developed INVEX on a native PHP/MySQL stack, focusing on data integrity, role-based access control (RBAC), and transactional accuracy (Section 4.6 of FRD).

• **Automated Stock Out Deduction:** Crucially, any **Stock Out** transaction (sale or distribution to a store) automatically triggers an immediate, server-side deduction of inventory quantities from the corresponding warehouse or store location, ensuring real-time stock levels.
• **Multi-Location Tracking:** Centralized management of inventory across multiple `warehouses` and `stores` (Section 4.4 of FRD).
• **Reorder Management:** Implemented the `Reorder Alert System` (Section 4.8 of FRD) to automatically monitor stock levels against configured reorder points, notifying managers to prevent stockouts.
• **Supplier/Pricing Module:** Enabled dynamic cost and price management based on `supplier-product` relationships (Section 4.7 of FRD), facilitating better purchasing decisions.
